Ski Trip to Giant Mountains

In November my roommate Martina entered room stating: "I just signed up for a ski trip in January, do you wanna join us?" I replied: "Why not?" That is how it began:)

In short: 24 ppl from University of Economics, different faculties and ages. Week in a mountains. 2 days of snow out of one week. Cool parties. New friends. Loads of fun. Relaxing.

After 3 days of strong wind and expecing some snow we set up towards Giant Mountains, up north in the Czech Republic. My expecation was to relax from the whole studying and thesis writing. My only expecation fully met. We spent the first half of week (lacking the snow) making tours on various mountains, deserving nice food in a pub after exhausing climbing high, in a night partying hard - either in a club or in our cottage. We went also to a swimming pool, where we played like a little kids, or playing florball (I enjoyed it very much, although I was having a strong hangover that morning;) )

Second half of a week we finally enjoyed some snow - firstly cross-country skiing and afterwards also down-hill. For me it was perfectly OK to mix all activities within the whole week, not just skiing.

As always it was sad to come back to Prague, leave the spot, new friends. But I came home perfectly relaxed, with cool memories, music we sing now all the time, and unfortunatelly with a little cold!

IKEA day

After comming back from a week ski trip to Giant Mountains with a University bunch of ppl I have free time till 12.2.
So today after a long planning I decided make an easy day and to go to IKEA store.
First time I have been there was in Uppsala and I liked it. Second time was today. Moreover I took up some theoretical knowledge about IKEA, while writing about it in my bachelor´s thesis.
I bought many things to dorms, to make it cosy (pillows, thesame candle I had in my room in Sweden...) and some pracitcal stuff. Finally I had a lunch there - köttbullar (meatboals) with potatoes, braun sauce and cranberry sauce. Typical swedish!!! It was not just typical girlie shopping, however I enjoyed beeing surrounded with familiar things, swedish words, food, blue and yellow colour:) Was nice to feel like beeing back in Uppsala.

Slight changes in my life

Since yesterday something little changed. After 3 years studying at the most prestigeous economics university in the Czech republic and my half year stay in Sweden I became a Bachelor of Science -
Bc. Pavlína Becková
.
A nice feeling!!! Somebody says the titel is nothing, but for me it means a feeling of satisfaction for all my effort. So one chapter is over now. I am going to continue with my Masters, major International trade.
And another decision is made: I would like to go for an AIESEC internship, starting this summer, lasting for half a year and going somewhere out of Europe...

We couldn´t miss a big celebration! Two friends of mine (Pecan and Jarda) are leaving to HongKong as an exchange students. So we joined their bye bye party and mine bachelor´s celebration. What an evening. Many people came, we had fun, a lot of spirit, jé jé spirt :D

A big thanks to Hanka and Jarda (on a picture) - all the parties with you guys were filled with fun and great time. Now we are gonna miss Jarda in our "team". I wish you a lot of fun and great time in HK:)
Hartoško, my si vystačíme, ne? ;)

365 days since Uppsalalalalalalala

Exactly one year ago I was setting off towards my Erasmus advanture in Sweden.
-staying on a bus station platform with my parents
-2 big pieces of luggage packed
-fear what to expect
-last bye bye

-sitting in a coach to Stockholm, thinking what is comming next

Yeah, I remember my feelings quite well:)
It has not that much sense to reflect now, it is simply long time ago, (and I am lazy now hehe). I am just 100% sure that my stay was worth it and i am really gratefull for it.

I am am also sure that this year I will visit Uppsala again. Just to come back and see familiar places, hope to meet thesame people and enjoy again:)
PS: Valborg is approaching, people, are you still up for it??? :)
